In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
